ABOUT OCEAN BREAK COOLUM

Ocean Break is a well-equipped, three bedroom holiday villa on two levels with wide ocean views and only five minutes walk to a beach. The villa has been furnished and equipped to a high standard so that a maximum of six guests enjoy a beach holiday that will refresh and restore. To this end we include linen and towels, including beach towels, to make life easier for you.

Ocean Break is situated in a quiet nature reserve that is a sanctuary for the endangered Richmond Birdwing Butterfly. Hence the name of this boutique holiday oasis is Papillon.

Through full length glass doors that fold completely to the side, you can step out onto your terrace and have an expansive view of the ocean and watch the whales (in season) and dolphins pass by. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area has a comfortable ambience that will encourage you to relax and forget the frenetic pace of everyday life.

From the light filled master bedroom on the upper level guests can look out to the ocean and enjoy a private balcony with its fabulous views.

The second and third bedrooms are on the other side of the villa. The QS bedroom is next to the main bathroom giving two couples privacy and their own bathrooms.

Five minutes walk down along the bush path and across the road brings you to the closest beach, which is ideal for a leisurely amble or a more energetic jog.
Coolum Beach is a 15 minute walk from Ocean Break along the board walk. If you would like to swim, Coolum Beach is patrolled on weekends and public holidays from September to April by volunteer lifesavers from Coolum Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
After your swim you might want to explore the cafes, shops, Surf Club or Coolum Beach Hotel in the shopping precinct opposite the Beach.

  • the minimum booking is two nights except for:
    • 16th December 2023 to 13th January 2024 when it is seven nights and all three bedrooms can be booked.
    • Easter long weekend 7th April to 10th April 2023 when it is three nights
  • the maximum number of people that can be accommodated in the villa is six
  • the owners reserve the right to require a bond for any booking

    EXPLORE

    Coolum Beach is a beachside town on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

    LOCATION

    Coolum Beach is 118km north of Brisbane (1.5 hours drive) and a short drive from Sunshine Coast Airport. It’s located in the middle of the Sunshine Coast 20 minutes to Noosa and 40 minutes to Caloundra.

    Coolum Beach is a short 15 minute walk from Ocean Break with other beaches scattered along the way.

     

    ATTRACTIONS

    With Australia Zoo, Underwater World, Aussie World and The Big Pineapple all within easy driving distance you will have lots of choice.

    National Parks and State Forests offer fabulous places to explore. A walk up Mt Coolum is a must with a swim at the beach a perfect way to start your day.

     

    ACTIVITIES

    Take a scenic drive around the Glass House Mountains or learn to surf at the Coolum Surfing School . The whales are bound to be seen from the balcony between August and October and there are plenty of look outs along the coast as you walk into town.

    If you are a golfer, there are courses at Twin Waters, Noosa Springs, Maleny, Pelican Waters and Coolum Resort.

     

    SHOPPING & DINING

    There is a Coles and a Woolworths a short 5 minute drive down the road from Ocean Break. Canteen is a great spot for a drink and a meal. Plenty more shops and cafes are located around the Coolum area.

    We visited Noosa, Caloundra, and Mooloolaba. We climbed Mt Coolum early one morning (which wasn’t as hard as it looks). Fantastic view up and the down the coast. Casual, easy-going and hearty meals at the Coolum Surf Club were great. We had a very good dinner out at Harvest restaurant in the Coolum shopping area. Great food and service.
    Ocean Break is a very well equipped and stylish villa and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will recommend to others!”
